Folkestone is a resort town with sandy beaches, colourful gardens and has everything you could expect from a British seaside resort, and more. We have wonderful beaches, a modern and an old town catering for all tastes and, being close to Euro Tunnel and Ashford, there are excellent connections with France and Belgium for those weekend day trips.
	Folkestone is just 80 minutes from the heart of London and just 30 minutes from all the grandeur and history of Canterbury where Saint Thomas a Beckett was murdered in the Cathedral by the King`s men in the twelfth century.
	If your taste is more for fun and relaxation then there is the local amusement park nearby. And if you ever become tired of town life then you can escape to the beautiful countryside of Kent, more popularly known as `the garden of England`. There are many picnic spots just a short train ride away, or for the more adventurous, you can explore hiking paths across the Weald of Kent and the North Downs.
