The Regency offers all our students a unique combination of English language teaching and hotel or home-stay accommodation. We have a large number of friendly host families, all within 15 minutes walk. Younger students are advised to choose family accommodation. Our school is housed in the elegant late-Victorian west end of Folkestone. An area famous for its fabulous houses styled on those in Nice, France, It is a few minutes walk from the sea, shopping centre and amusement park. There are wide leafy avenues and cinnamon brick buildings; period architecture, Georgian stone columns. Folkestone offers regular outdoor concerts, a fine selection of restaurants, café and pubs. For sports, there is windsurfing, sailing, fishing, cycling and a sports centre. London is 1 hours and 20 minutes away, Canterbury – 30 minutes away and Euro Tunnel a mere 5 minutes away. Charles Dickens described Folkestone as “One of the prettiest watering places on the south coast.”

Students can relax in our lounges, play badminton, or just sit in the sun in our large private garden

Our restaurant offers a choice of different meals every lunch and dinner from salads to fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. (Our meat is Halal)

Local shops sell stationery, gifts, confectionery and films. We can provide text books and classroom items that may be needed.

There is tea and coffee served in the coffee bar at breaktimes.
